Deaf Ink
Branding & e-commerce site for a tattoo artist in the deaf community.
Launch projectDiscovery
I began with gathering as much information and inspiration as possible. One thing that instantly stood out was the name DeafInk combined with an octopus mascot — the octopus has 8 tentacles, representing the different abilities and skills of the artist.

Mascot & Logo
As I learned more about Gayle's challenges growing up as a speech-impaired artist, we drew a parallel with the octopus's defense system — the ink it spits out to defend itself in the wild. The mark carries that story in every curve.

Quick answers about working with THRDX and my approach to digital solutions.
You work directly with the maker. No account managers, no handoffs, no markup on a team you never meet. Brand, product, and front-end come from one craft, so the work stays consistent start to finish.
Most freelancers do one thing. THRDX covers brand, product UI, motion, and the front-end code, so your design and your build never fall out of sync.
Most subscription studios stop at static design. THRDX also builds the front-end, plus motion and 3D, which the biggest subscriptions explicitly exclude.
A Makeover is typically live in 2 to 3 weeks. On monthly plans you see progress every week.
Start with a Makeover. It is fixed scope and fixed price, with no monthly commitment.
Yes. THRDX can own the front-end or hand off clean, production-ready designs and components to your team.
Design in Figma, motion and 3D in Spline and motion tools, and front-end in modern frameworks like Nuxt, Next.js, and Framer. The point is one person across the whole stack.
